Current Art-Tech Projects

The RiVeins Project

The RiVeins initiative is a concept for a community-based flood resilience system to be tested in Assam, scalable into other parts of the world affected by climate-change driven extreme flooding.

Indeed, rural populations introduce additional social and cultural challenges that cannot be overlooked by the existing hi-tech flood early warning systems. This is where storytelling becomes crucial. RiVeins tackles this using a holistic approach, which has taken it to the finals of several prestigious innovation awards.

Antarctica Diaries

Homeward Bound Projects is a global initiative towards improving the visibility of women leaders in scientific fields, with the backdrop of Antarctica. In November 2023, 88 women from 17 countries with a STEMM background will depart for a 3-week voyage there.

Joining this journey to Antarctica, Atelier Arth would be involved in creating an artwork inspired by and at the ice continent, towards raising awareness about the fragility of this continent, ever exacerbated by climate change.

Moon Gallery

The Moon Gallery is an international collaborative artwork, in the form of a miniature gallery of ideas, reminding of our earth to our future interplanetary societies. It intends to launch 100 artifacts to the Moon within the compact format of a 10 x 10 x 1 cm plate on a lunar lander exterior panelling as early as 2025.

With a first successful one-year stay in space in 2022 onboard the International Space Station, launched via the NG-17 Cygnus Cargo Resupply mission, next up is the preparation for a lunar launch.
